Plan on Staying
« on: June 24, 2013, 07:57:02 PM »
I'm currently an Airman stationed in UK with the US Air Force. I've been here almost 3 years and I  love the UK. I have about a year and a half left before I separate and would love to stay here after my service. I currently have an associates degree and an accounting certificate; plus, I should finish my bachelor's before I separate--fingers crossed.

What can I do to stay in the UK? Is there any options for Americans already inside the UK?

Thanks

Are you by chance in a relationship with a UK citizen?  That's really the best chance you'd have to stay in the UK.

Seriously - marry a British woman!

Probably the easiest way.

Continue your education?

Can try and find a company to work for who can sponsor you for a work visa, but that can be quite difficult though.

Not going to be easy, mate.  Take a look around at the threads.

However, when there's a will, there's a way...  Good luck!    :)

Irish grandparent? That's the way to a Irish passport, the no-hassle-with-visas way to staying in the UK.

or British parent.
or see if you have hereditary rights from EU countries (I think Italy offers passports to those who grandparents born in Italy and if its true, you can come in under a EU visa - aka your EU country passport)
