Tier 2 application - photographs and photocopies?
« on: June 30, 2013, 03:32:38 PM »
hello - I'm about to submit my Tier 2 visa application and am puzzling over the document requirements. First, am I to submit one photograph or two? The UKBA website section on Documents asks for two photographs, but all the confirmation emails for my application ask for one photograph. Second, should I send the originals and photocopies of my application and Appendix 5, or just the original? The UKBA website seems to ask for photocopies (perhaps just for documents to be returned?) but elsewhere advises not to photocopy the application. Thanks in advance for any help - I am very anxious to get it right the first time!

I see you're also from DC. Hello from NoVA. ;)

I just submitted my tier 2 visa last week to NYC. No word on approval yet.

The way I understand it is two photos are required (with your name written on the back. One for your application, and one for your visa when you receive it.

Also, the way I understand it, photocopies are required for original documents to be returned to you. Make sure you make a copy of your passport bio-data page. For my submission, I made copies of my bank statements (printed and signed by bank) and passport bio-data page; I didn't send copies of appendix 5, the printed application, or stamped biometrics appointment page.

I've heard of some people not making copies of anything and still being okay (not advisable), so maybe that will put your mind at ease. :)
