Questions from a Yank Moving to UK from Hong Kong

Hi,
I need some advise regarding moving to England from Hong Kong where I live with myBritish husband and child.  I am American and we have been married for three years (married in the US).  We are planning a move back to the UK this spring but I'm not sure which visa application to fill out (I.e. through the HK consulate or the American consulate) due to our current residence. 
Also, I have questions about the health coverage I will receive if I'm pregnant and living in the UK. Is there a certain amount of time that has to pass before I am eligible for NHS services?
And finally, if my visa is approved, does that make me eligible for working in the UK as well?

A spouse visa should make you entitled to NHS treatment and give you right to work upon arriving in the UK.
