...our little girl has been with her childminder for a year now and with a bit of a perfect storm of circumstances (two of us moms going on maternity leave in a couple of months, and a third child who started school this year) she finds herself with some vacancies coming up.
I'm posting on here because I feel a great sense of loyalty and gratitude to her. Neither me nor my husband has family in the UK, and I don't know what it is about the expat experience with kids, but I've found myself feeling so lucky and grateful to have found someone that we trust. She's not family obviously, but for our daughter she's probably the closest thing we have to family here in the UK!
Anyway, if anybody's looking for childcare for their under 5s in the area between Windsor and Staines, PM me and I can give you some more information about her. Our experience with her since our little girl was 8 months old has been fabulous and has made such a difference in how it has felt to return to work.
