I'm so glad to hear that it isn't just me.  I have thought it was way more sour than the stuff I used to get in the USA too--enough so that I was questioning if the first tub I bought was rotten.  I could only handle it with a good serving of fruit to kind of mask the flavour.  It wasn't too bad though when I used it in lasagna.  I just can't eat it on my own, and I can't get my little girls to eat it for anything, but I think they might have eaten the milder stuff back home.

I've recently tried the Waitrose brand cottage cheese and thought it was so much more sour / tangy then I've ever had in the US. I'm also 5 months pregnant and I know a lot of the foods I liked before I was pregnant taste different now but I'm glad it wasn't just me who thought it wasn't the same.

Do you work for Waitrose or just love them?  6 of your 7 posts have been about Waitrose  :P  ;)

To be fair, Waitrose is lovely. I wish I could afford to do all of my shopping there.

I love Waitrose. Also I think their own-brand cottage cheese is tasty!

Since I moved, Waitrose is now my closest large supermarket. Whilst I agree that there are nice things about it, I really feel screwed over by some of their pricing. They know they have a fairly captive audience and take advantage of it. I do try and do a big shop with the car and stock up on stuff at other (cheaper) stores but I recently ran out of aluminum foil. My Waitrose wanted £4 for it!! I simply could not bring myself to pay that much so changed my dinner plans to something I could make w/o the foil.  >:(

Where I lived (I just moved to a larger town), Waitrose was our only option for groceries.

Good stuff. I've never been in a Waitrose.  I like grocery stores with neat stuff. I'm sure I'd enjoy it.   :)
