Not staying signed in
« on: October 19, 2013, 11:50:55 PM »
Not sure if it is just me or not.  When I log in to check posts, I have to log in each time....even tho I checked the box to remember me.  It started when we connected DH's computer from NYC up to the internet (his UK one was super slow).  Tho i don't know why that would cause changes on my laptop....

THat's been happening to me for about a week now and I didn't change anything.  On the main page at the top there is a header that says "This Site uses Cookies" and there is something to click on to go to a page to agree to something.  I am a bit of a wimp about clicking on things that may be sketchy, so I have chosen just to ignore it and log in each time.  I meant to post and ask if that header was legit and whether it was OK to click through?

Join the club!  I've noticed it for a week or so too.  I'm using Firefox.

Glad it is not just me.  It is not an inconvenience or annoying or anything, just thought it was weird.

You can ignore the cookie notice, it's there because it is required by EU law, you'll notice them on a lot of UK sites now. Clicking on it will set a cookie to stop notifying you that the site uses cookies, completely legit. :)

If there's an issue staying logged in, try deleting your cookies and then logging in again using the form at the bottom of the forum home page. Sometimes cookies can become corrupted and then logins just don't work quite right.

Let me know if that helps.

I cleared my cookies and all is well.  I also cleared the cache while I was at it.

Never mind.  Clearing the cache and cookies didn't work.  I still have to log in every time I visit. >:(

I'm on Chrome and have the same problem. I'm not sure what's going on, but I've found however that if I just refresh the page I'm immediately logged in.

Interestingly, my problems with staying logged in began when I deleted my cookies (for another website). I am also on Chrome.
