Urgent UK passport replacement - section 4 question
« on: January 09, 2014, 09:19:14 PM »
Hi all,

I hope this is the right place to post this question - my husband had a rejected same-day passport renewal this week, as the office ruled that there was more than the usual wear and tear (some water damage but nothing to stop him travelling on it). We're travelling to Europe in two weeks, so he managed to book a fast-track appointment on Saturday, and we're filling in the additional sections required for a damaged passport replacement.

We're really stuck on section 4 however, as his parents are divorced and none of the family have been in contact with his father in years. We have his name, but all of the other information is unknown.

Should we enter his father's name and leave the rest blank, or leave the entire Father section blank? We will have a supporting letter explaining the situation either way according to the instructions for section 8.

Thanks,
Kristi
