London Book Club - January and February
« on: November 29, 2013, 11:01:41 PM »
Hi, everybody. The London Book Club will be meeting in January and February. We're a small group of expat Americans and newcomers of any nationality are decidedly welcome.

On Saturday, January 18, at 3 pm, we'll be gathering to discuss This Is How It Ends, by Kathleen Macmahon.

In February, the book hasn't been decided yet but the discussion will be on Saturday the 15th at 3 pm.

For both meetings, we'll be at the Café Rouge outlet in the food court section of Victoria Station (http://www.caferouge.co.uk/french-restaurant/victoria). The web site describes it as being on the "first floor above" the main train station but it's more like two (you have to go up two escalators to the area with McDonalds et al.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to message me. Meetings usually last for about an hour and a halfish.

Have you chosen a book for the February meeting yet?  :)  I loved This is How it Ends by the way!

Sorry this is a little late but the book for February is Steel Drivin' Man by Scott Reynolds Nelson. It's a non-fiction tome about the legend of John Henry.

The meeting place has also been changed slightly. Same time, still Victoria Station but it'll be at the large Pret-A-Manger outside the station, across from the large HSBC. (173 Victoria Street, 0207 932 5224) We'll try to meet upstairs.
