Ground chicken breast
« on: January 21, 2014, 04:48:05 PM »
Any ideas where to find ground chicken breast??  I use it to make buffalo chicken meatballs and chicken parm meatballs.  I have looked everywhere.  Am I going to need to ask the butchers counter in Tesco to ground it for me???  Will they even do that??  Thanks!

I haven't seen ground chicken, but ground turkey is at all the supermarkets (which has worked for me).

Certainly worth a shot asking if they will mince some for you.  Let me know what they say!   :D

You know it's not going to be *called* ground chicken, right? :)

I shop in Sainsburys, mainly, and they always have chicken mince.

I just purchase the chicken breasts from the butcher and ask them to mince it.  I make a chicken chilli with it.   ;)

It's actually used quite frequently in Asian dishes, especially Thai. Have you tried an Asian/Thai grocery? They might have it.

If you have a kitchen aid mixer, they have a meat grinding attachment you can get. Or you can get the old school kind that clips on your counter top.
