Quick ?  When I look up letting or renting the following appears:

£1,325 pcm (£306 pw) fees apply

What does pcm and pw mean exactly?

PCM = per calendar month
P(C)W = per (calendar) week

Generally if you see a weekly price, you multiply it by 52 and divide by 12 to figure out what you'd pay as monthly rent (I've never had to pay rent on a weekly basis).

The weekly price is usually used to figure out deposits and such (e.g. 6 weeks' deposit).

And there will probably be fees on top of the rent, which you pay to the estate agent.

For example, an administration fee. This fee may cover things like the cost of preparing the tenancy agreement, checking references, making up the inventory and any other costs of setting up the tenancy. Many agencies will charge you for renewing your tenancy agreement once it expires.

You can shop around because not all agencies make these charges and the amounts can vary between agencies.

The agent cannot charge you for registering with it, or to show you its list of properties available for renting.

Here's a great link to help you when first renting a property in the UK, and there is a section on fees: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/mortgages/rent-a-property

 Just wanted to add a note that your deposit (~4 weeks-6 weeks rent) should be stored in a Tenancy Deposit Scheme, usually set up by the agency/landlord.   What this does is protect your money during your tenancy--meaning your landlord won't have access to it, and won't be able to just taken it and spend it in the meantime.
