Well, I managed to pass the test! So, it's back to my old non-hand braking  ways! Glad that's over with!

Congratulations!

I thought of this thread on Saturday.  My husband and I were out in my "new" car that I got in January and he was driving.  EVERY TIME WE STOPPPED, he put the handbrake on.  How I bit my tongue, I don't know.  I was dying to shout, "IT'S FLAT."

Haha! Well done! You are stronger than I would have been :-)

Also.... I spoke to a friend in the US who drives a manual Nissan Xterra and the parking brake is foot operated, so that feature is not specific to automatics.

I just talked to my English hubby about this and he said well
You live in the UK so if we use the handbrake just do it or go back
To America!!  Lol then he said he doesn't see the point
In driving a manual car now a days any how (mind u he has like
A 3 hour commute daily so he's tired of driving).

He said just cuz they have
Guns and shoot everyone in America doesn't make it the
Right thing now does it.  Too funny !
