Well it's true! ;D I don't know how people there stay thin with all the chippys that have all those deep fried foods! My fiance even said that pizza is deep fried, and deep fried mars bars served with chips? I'd like to try one just once but I don't think as a meal, to me that's a dessert..a rich one at that! I will say I've tried fried haggis rolls twice and black pudding rolls when I was in Scotland last august. It's really not that bad. You just don't stop and think about what's in it, but I always say, it's not any worse then what they put in our bologna or hot dogs! Sodium eyrthobate (sp?) is one thing I've seen before on the ingredients ..now what the heck is that?? lol

Oh I know, the deep fried pizzas are just plain ridiculous. Aren't they good enough without being drenched in boiling lard? And I think I'll pass on the deep fried Mars bars with chips! My guy eats deep fried burgers :o and chips too. I sometimes can't help but watch in horror! It really is amazing how he stays so trim. Recently they've started selling deep fried kebabs in Scotland too, which actually made the papers because of their health danger -- they're actually twice as bad for you as a Big Mac. It's crazy.

Thanks for the list by the way, ny_2_uk... are there any closer to Scotland though by any chance?  ;D

I think Honey's talking about Fresh and Wild which is an organic chain.
