TV Question
« on: April 24, 2014, 03:01:38 PM »
I understand that US TVs can't pick up the broadcast signals in the UK.  But will a US "smart TV" be able to connect to the internet in the UK?  In other words, will my US TV be able to connect to Netflix.UK?

I'd imagine it'll work for netflix as if you ammend DNS you can use the US site on UK smart TVs etc.

Hmm...   So I could actually access the US site from a UK internet connection?

Yes, I do this on multiple TVs and also from my iPad. This kept me somewhat sane during a period of illness!

Edited to add: you will need to maintain an active US c/card to keep up the monthly subscription.

That is great news!   It sounds as if it could be challenging to get a UK credit card, so I suspect we will hold onto our US cards for a while.

It doesn't matter where your credit card is from.  If you use a us DNS/VPN you'll get the us version.  Same for the uk.
