Western NYS to East Midlands

It is looking very much as if I will be moving to the UK with my spouse (who will be on a work visa) next summer.   I've already consulted this list several times, and I'm sure it will be an invaluable asset in the months to come.   Although each of us has visited the UK previously, moving there is going to be a huge cultural shock, and I look forward to the help this list can provide to anticipate a lot of potential problems.

Culture shock? Bah! You'll be fine!
Tho I'm originally from Los Angeles area, I lived in Honeoye (Finger Lakes area) for 5 years before moving here to Cumbria (The Lake District - go figure), and quite honestly, after the 'culture shock' of moving from LA to UNY, this was nothing!
And, yes, this site is GREAT reading
