Newlywed from US to London!
« on: June 26, 2014, 05:20:37 PM »
Hi everyone! I am not really new to the forum but I am new to married life! When I joined the forum I didn't know to  post on the welcome wagon so I thought now is as good as ever!
My name is Tiffany and I am in my mid 30s.  I was born and raised in Iowa but have been living in California the past 3 years.  My husband (still weird to say) is British and we met while he was on holiday in the US.  After 2 years of long distance dating we were married! I gave up my career as a trauma nurse to move to the UK and am now getting ready to send all of my documents in for my spousal visa.  I am really excited and nervous to start this new chapter in our lives.  I know a lot of people are experiencing the same things so I'd love to hear about everyone's past, present, and future endeavors!  Cheers!

Hello!

Nice to meet you! My soon to be husband, just 9 more days til the wedding, and I are working on my Leave to Remain Visa. I've been here in the UK on a marriage visa for the last 4 months. Things are definitely interesting at times...

I'd love to chat if you ever feel like it!
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Nice to meet you! I'm back in the States because the British hubby decided he likes it better here, but I still visit the board because of the wonderful people here.

Hello Tiffany!
My husband and I are also newlyweds (a month now) and just moved to London last week. We're both here on my work visa and we moved out kitties over as well. It's a very exciting adventure and I hope you feel the same once you get here.

Best wishes with your upcoming move!
Sarah

Howdy Tiffany!

If you're still interested in working as a nurse, you may be able to do so.  Experienced nurses are always in demand.  You'd have to register with the NMC first.  But if you still want to work in nursing, it's a place to start!
