Hello,I am moving to Glasgow and I want to buy a flat.I would really appreciate if someone tells me which neighborhoods  are good and reliable. I am looking for a neighbourhood which is safe, not expensive and has a good transport link to the city center.I have never been to Glasgow or UK so I really count on you to help me!!!Thank you in advance.

If you have never been to Glasgow or UK..what type of Visa are you moving over on? You do know you can't just move over and take up residence??

Are you going to outright buy something or you thinking of getting a mortgage? I would think if you didn't have ILR and have been here for a while they are not likely to give you a mortgage. When I bought my house 10 yrs ago I had been living here for 7yrs and the banks were still reluctant to give me a mortgage even with my UK husband. We did get it but had to jump through hoops.

You really need to visit first, and then decide what sort of things are important to you where housing is concerned.
