SSA.gov/sign in
« on: August 31, 2014, 02:20:27 PM »
Hello,
i am new to this site. I live in the UK and want to open an online account with SSA.Gov.
One of the requirements is having a US address. I no longer have a US address.  Does that mean i can't handle my social security on line from abroad?
Thank You,
Hemog

At the moment their website is down for maintenance, so I don't know.  You can vote in federal elections without a current US address (I think you use your last US residence), so I would think it would be the same sort of thing.  ???

You have two options:

1) Contact the SSA office in Baltimore.

2) Contact the FBU (Federal Benefits Unit) at the Embassy in London.
