Hello!  My name is Shawna and I am new here.  My family is planning a 2019 move to Scotland, from New England.  A friend of mine suggested I try this site to get the advice I am looking for.

What kind of move are you planning (Work visa, family visa etc.)?

2019 is really far away in immigration terms, so it's probably too early for you to be looking into visas and things just yet - visa rules change all the time, so what might be correct for visas now, may not be by 2019 (generally we advise that anything posted more than 6 months ago will be out of date).

Feel free to browse the forum though, post any questions you have and get to know everyone here as you start planning your move .
