Hi from Swindon

Hi,

My name is Brea Bampton, I live in Swindon.  Originally from a small town in Washington, moved to Italy in 2006 lived there for 2 and a half years and came to England.  Met my husband and I have been here ever since. 

Just looking for a little bit of home influence every once in a while; family always focuses on how "different" I speak when we catch up an then British people always focus on the "americanisms"... starts to feel like I am in limbo.

Does everyone seem to think you're from Canada? I get that a lot and I've only been here for 6 months!

I completely understand, some people are a bit more stuck on the differences between US and UK than others.
