Hey friends,
I know the NHS is not classed as public funds for visa purposes, but I'm not sure about some semi-related services. I'm partially sighted and I'll be visiting an eye doctor here in a few days and start looking into getting officially registered as partially sighted with my local council. Would any concessions from that status be considered public funds? As far as I can tell, I'll be entitled to some low vision aids, disabled railcard, possible council tax break, etc. it wouldn't involve DLA or PIP or any sort of payment like that. Anybody got any info on that?
Also, I'm assuming that as its classed under the NHS, if I qualify for free glasses/eyecare as a result of my condition, that would be fine. Please correct me if in wrong on that.
