Shipping budgies (within US)

Not related to repatriation, but my youngest daughter lives in Fairbanks, AK and is moving back to South Carolina. She has 2 budgies and we are researching options on shipping them from AK to SC.

Obviously, I have told her to check with the airlines directly (I'm not sure who she will be flying with) but thought I'd just ask on here if anyone has any experience with non-international bird shipping. She is VERY attached to her budgies.
