Finding part time help for two children
« on: January 03, 2015, 03:00:08 AM »
Hi - I am moving with my husband and two young daughters in March.  My husband and I will both be working full time and need someone for a few hours in the morning before they go to nursery school.

My question is - any ideas on how best to find someone to help?  Are there classifieds for part time nannies or agencies?
2001 - moved to the UK on a student visa
2002 - 2 year work visa (and met hubby later that year)
2004 - moved w UKC hubby to US
2012 - UKC hubby now a dual national (USC)
Apr 2015 - moved back to UK w DH and two DD

A childminder would be a good option.

The Ofsted website has a search function to find the ratings of those near you.  You can then contact the ones you like for availability.

Depending on the nursery, there are sometimes daycare type places attached for younger children and for before/after nursery.

Not sure if it's the same nationally but here they're called Childrens Centres - they're usually attached to a few local school nursuries.
