Bristol Suggestions
« on: January 25, 2015, 04:18:55 PM »
Greetings everyone,

The hubster and I are taking a trip to Bristol this weekend.  Neither of us have been there before so we're quite excited.  I know that there are several people on this board who are familiar with Bristol.  I would love any suggestions about what is not to be missed.  We're going to the zoo one day to meet a red panda (they let you take those home, right?) and are stopping at some of the towns in which my ancestors lived in the olden days but, otherwise, our plans are open.  Our trips are usually historically-driven but we're up for just about anything.

Thank you in advance for any advice you may have!  What should we do in Bristol?  Hit me!

I used to live in Bristol and recently spent a weekend there. I recommend visiting the SS Great Britain, the Clifton Suspension bridge, and the restaurants and bars in the docks area (around the Arnolfini Centre). Have a great time!

I love Bristol! Spent 6 months there last year and can't wait to go back. I highly recommend the Zoo, Aquarium, SS great Britain, Clifton Suspension Bridge, Cabot circus for some good shopping :)

Thank you for all of the suggestions!  We had a blast in Bristol.  What a great city.  The highlight for us was definitely the ss Great Britain.  I could have spent all day there alone.  So, again, thank you!

It is a first class job.
