Finally the info on the NHS Levy
« on: March 19, 2015, 07:06:56 PM »
Just glad my in person FLR(M) is on April 4th!

It's exactly what we've been saying.  £200 a year but not part of the visa fee per say.

Yikes! That's £500 extra for flr(m)! I have to renew my spouse visa, but I entered on Nov 9, 2012 which makes 30 months minus 28 days to be April 11, 2015. Is there any way I can send the application earlier??! The actual visa is valid from Nov 1, 2012 can I use that date?

Unfortunately, no.  You can apply no sooner than 28 days before your 30 month anniversary of living in the UK.

Also you can't apply for ILR any earlier than 28 days prior to your 5 year anniversary in the UK.  So you want to apply for FLR(M) as close to your 30 month date as possible.  You don't want to end up with a single day to apply for ILR.

Good lord, we're here on Tier 2 Visas so looks like we're in for £600! Though considering my son has been in pediatric intensive care twice since we've been here, I probably shouldn't complain. He's gotten fantastic care, and he's fine now.
