whoops. sorry :o this is my first forum and i'm still getting used to navigating it. well i met my fiancee about 2 years ago on Facebook. since then he has been here and I recently spent 2 months during the summer in England meeting all of his family. Now we are in the planning stages of me moving there next year after he finishes university. Right now i'm going to school and working to save as much as I can. I found this forum when I was looking around for advice on Visas and just moving in general. Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!  :)

Hey There - I am from NC too.  I am from the Sandhills area.  My husband and I are moving to Kent this summer.  And my daughter is going to be attending university in Scotland starting in September.  You will probably find out a lot of answers to your questions here.  I have been going back and forth between the US and Britain for over 20 years, I am just not coming back this time.

Take care...

Barbara

PS.  I will miss Southern Food though.  But, the English are the best bakers, in my opinion.  A lot of that rubbed off on Southern bakers.
