Apple Picking Spots in the UK?
« on: October 05, 2015, 05:28:45 PM »
THIS NEEDS TO BE MOVED! - WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PUT IN CHIT-CHAT! So sorry! [won't let me delete my own thread...]

Was looking for some place to go apple picking here in the UK like I would be doing in fall in the US. Would definitely help me let go of summer and really feel like I could enjoy autumn! hehe

Does anybody know any places that do this type of thing in the south that would be only a day trip [as I don't fancy driving up to Scotland or even further up north for a few hours of outdoor activity]? I tried doing a google search but couldn't find much except the "pick your own fruits" places that were Strawberry and Blueberry patches but it has now well passed the season to even do that..

Any other "autumn activities" others can recommend doing over here are welcomed as well but I particularly miss apple picking  :)

Thanks in advance!

A quick google search found these links: http://www.pickyourownfarms.org.uk and http://www.pickyourownfarms.org.uk
Thanks for flagging this up as I have picked strawberries and didn't realise that we could spend a few hours apple picking! I hope you find somewhere convenient:)

Thanks!! I did see this site but then seemed to find mostly strawberry picking and stuff, very few apple places. I found a few apple places now but they all seem to end in September...WAHHH

Thanks again! :D

Haha no, sadly I am not very good at "adulting" so it literally is just querying where i can pick my own apples.....I just wish i could physically move it to the section it belongs in or delete it and report where it was supposed to go! Sorry for the confusion! lol
