Greetings from Omaha
« on: October 21, 2015, 12:17:14 AM »
Hi folks.  I'm in the process of getting a settlement Visa and everyday getting a bit more excited by it all.

Been to England during the winter holidays for the last five years and got married this past summer in Nebraska to my lovely lady.  She is settled in Manchester and I can't wait to call it my home.

I chose the name Omaha because my final trip from America will begin in Omaha.  And my possessions will also leave through Omaha on the Missouri River.

The on-line application was complete on 20 September and now we are just waiting.

A little about me... I was born and raised in New Jersey and went to college in the Plains and have stayed here ever since, which is over 30 years.

My avatar is a picture of a Cherokee Warrior.  In 2012, I was adopted into the Cherokee Nation and am part of the Wolf Clan... it is something I am extremely proud of.

I consider myself a spiritual person and have studied the Native beliefs for many years and two years ago I started learning how to play the Native American Flute.

Sorry for rambling... my wife found this site awhile back and it has been part of my nightly reading for the past couple of weeks.  I really enjoy it.  And look forward to getting to know all of you...

I'll sign off with my Cherokee name,

Messenger

Thanks for the welcome... I'm amazed at how many folks from Nebraska end up in the UK...

I'm actually over by Lincoln but my wife and I spent our very short honeymoon in Omaha in the Old Market.  She even made the comment that it was similar to Suffolk Quays (which I love.)

That part of Omaha is very pretty and the memories there will last me a life time...
