Can i go on Interview for NIN without appointment

I am talking about Britain national insurance number so they gave me an interview date for a day when the office was closed (Saturday) and when i called them for a new date they gave me one 2 weeks from now, i don't want to wait that long (i already waited) can i go to the office without an appointment or is there any way that i can get that number faster ?

I hate to tell you, but after the appointment it will take some time to receive it (about a month).

You can work without a NI number.  You'll be taxed at a higher rate but will receive it back as soon as your NI number is in.

You could call them and see if there is a sooner appointment at another Job Centre Plus. Not all Job Centres can handle the NINo application, which is why there aren't always appointments. I had to go an hour away to get mine and it was the closest.
