UK for Christmas.
« on: December 11, 2015, 12:32:53 AM »
My younger 3 kids and I are heading to England next week to visit my husband who is working over there.  We will be moving end of May so  a lot of our trip will be touring the school we are applying to and looking for where we might want to find a house.

My question is....are there any must do's over the holidays?  We will be staying in Newbury but are planning on doing a lot of things in Oxford, London, Bath, and etc.

The Natural History Museum in London is a treasure. Great Britain at its greatest:

The Science Museum is world class too:

These are sort of obvious choices, but they are so wonderful.
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

I really enjoy winter wonderland in Hyde Park and the South Bank Christmas Market. Bath is meant to have lovely Christmas markets as well, planning to go next week and see for myself. :)

Well, we've been back 2 weeks and I'm ready to go back!

We made it to Bath, Oxford, and London and we spent the rest of the time just hanging out and enjoying Christmas.  We did go to the Natural History Museum and Winter Wonderland!
