Does anyone know what happens to your Social Security if you give up your US Citizenship?

If you qualify for US SS, either with 10 years (40 credits) in the US or by use of the US/UK Totalization Treaty (with a right to a UK State pension payout and with less than 40 but more than 6 US SS credits), then your SS entitlement is maintained, and you may receive US SS payments paid directly into your UK bank account. Relinquishing or renouncing US citizenship does not alter your right to a payout............for now, anyway.
