HELLO.. I'M A NEWBIE IN HERE!

I'm Raven, I am Filipina married to a British serving HM Forces, I just submitted my docs and bio-metrics yesterday at VFS Manila Hub, though, because the girl who works at VFS seems to not know about the requirements of settlement visa under the Armed Forces appendix. she was the pnewho assisted me, and asked me if I am applying for a settlement visa, I said yes. Then she asked me where is the VAF4 form. I said, I followed the AFF steps to applying. She seemed to be confuse that makes me confuse as well if i did submit the right forms. (I submitted the online application - SETTLEMENT sub-WIFE) then 2 paper-based forms VAF and AF append. financial reqs. and all the necessary documents to prove them that our marriage is legit. I hope I'll get a visa granted. cross-fingers!

In terms of the different forms for spouses of HM forces members, there are the following:
- Online application (the paper version is VAF4a but this is not accepted anywhere except North Korea)
- VAF4a AF (Armed Forces)
- VAF4a Appendix 2 (Armed Forces)

And it sounds like you sent all of these, so I imagine you should be fine .

Normally, if you weren't applying as the family member of someone in the forces, you would send:
- the online application
- the regular VAF4a Appendix 2 form
(https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/application-for-uk-visa-for-family-settlement-form-vaf4a).

However, for HM Forces applications, I believe you send instead the 3 forms I mentioned above, so the online application, plus these forms: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/application-for-uk-visa-as-member-of-hm-armed-forces-vaf-af

hi ScottishTexan, Thank you so much. yes quite fast, 16 days and I already have the answer and happy it was granted. they told me it would take up to 3 months, i guess there's not a lot of applicants.
