Electronic payslips for FLR(M) application
« on: March 31, 2017, 11:29:16 AM »
Hello,

In a few weeks I will be applying at a premium service centre for my second UK spousal visa, a FLR(M) application. I have a small niggling question: I know that we need to provide payslips (I think the past 6? and aligning them with the stamped bank statements that we include). However I wanted to ask whether it's okay if these payslips are printed off from an electronic portal? My spouse only receives them electronically, not by post, so I'm not sure how "official" they look or need to look. Will simply printing them off from the online/intranet versions be an issue in any way?

Many thanks,
Minxy

He'll need a letter from his payroll or employer verifying that they are authentic.  From the guidance:

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-fm-se-family-members-specified-evidence

(bb) Payslips must be: (i) original formal payslips issued by the employer and showing the employer’s name; or
(ii) accompanied by a letter from the employer, on the employer’s headed paper and signed by a senior official, confirming the payslips are authentic;

I also took the belts and braces option of getting the HR dept to stamp and sign the printed off payslips.

My husband did the same as guyp. Got them all stamped and signed by hr and then a letter to confirm that only electronic payslips issued by such and such company were used for his pay. His hr department also included the amounts of pay for the last 6 months.  Might be a little overboard but worked for us!

One more similar question: we signed our tenancy agreement online with an electronic signature and were not given a paper copy. I have asked my property manager to send me a paper copy -- since it will just be a print-out of the electronic version, will I need something from them on headed paper stating that the paper copy of the tenancy agreement is actually valid, etc? Many thanks!

Someone actually just asked this on another post! The more expirenced on the site just said to maybe get a letter from the company confirming it's only an electronic form(it's more and more common these days so it's not unusual)

The electronic copy of the tenancy agreement is fine. It's all we had when I applied in Feb. They apparently don't think my 6 months of bank statements that were included are real so I have to send them new ones. What a huge pain in the butt.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

What did you send them?
6 months of bank statements sent to me directly from my bank. They couldn't print 6 months at the bank as we had too many transactions so I had to request them to be posted to me. I verified they were the right months and sent them off. Its frustrating. There was a few weeks more than 6 months.

Oh, no! We are submitting bank statements sent to my wife from her bank. :( What are they expecting you to do to prove they are real?

Those should be considered real - this is only the first instance we have heard of official statements not being accepted.

Also, this is an in-country application for FLR(M), not a fiancé or spousal visa (though they should be the same document-wise).

It's okay. Just really annoying. Poor gimpy husband had to go get them since I can't right now. He got them to stamp every single page of the statements he printed at home. Good on him.

I wonder if they somehow missed the stack of pages or something? It's obnoxious. I almost put a sticky saying they were 6 no the of statements, but I didn't. I regret that now.
