Overwhelmed Newbie
« on: July 25, 2016, 12:55:43 AM »
Hi all!!
I am at the very beginning of my journey to move to the UK, and I'm quite overwhelmed  :(
I just spent the last 2 1/2 years fighting to get my UKC fiance a K1 visa to move to the US. Only to be refused and then denied the waiver of inadmissibility. I still have no idea why we were denied, as the US government refuses to talk to the citizen who's life they just messed up.

On to plan B, moving to the UK. Which in all honesty I probably would have done anyway, just not this soon.

I'm in my last semester to be an RN. I hope to get my visa sorted shortly after i graduate. I came back from holiday a week ago and I miss my fiance and England already. 4 years of being 5000 miles apart is enough!!! I wanna marry my love already!!

Thanks for reading and if you could point me to the 'Idiots guide to UK visas', that would be great!!!

Very sorry to hear about the K1 being unsuccessful.

Here is a little reading for you.

You're welcome!  :)

The requirements are tougher coming this way but once the application is submitted it usually doesn't take more than a couple of months at most and can be as quick as a week to be processed, depending on the time of year and whether or not you pay for priority processing.  http://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/usa/user_pay_services.html

The important thing is to take your time preparing the application and to make sure that you have all the necessary  evidence, in the required format, ready to go before you hit submit!
