Biometrics Friday
« on: August 29, 2016, 09:34:01 AM »
Hi all, i have my biometrics friday

question
1) when they ship and i know they use DHL would i be correct to say my package wont reach them till Monday, I am actually a bit scared it will be sitting somewhere in a          warehouse

2) i am send giving them all her pay she has paid herself since 2014 to 2016 july  and more. it states they can go back two yrs if they want ..

My previous application i met all criteria just the financial so my thinking is give them what they want to see. ( i guess)

It will presumably just be sitting with all the other mail they are shipping at the same time - no different from anything else you ship.

I would not advise doing that.

They will only go back 2 years if you apply under category G, which specifies that you are using 2 FULL tax years, and the income will be calculated differently, as she then MUST show that her AVERAGE income between April 2014 and April 2016 was at least £18,600.

- If you apply under Category F, they will ONLY look at the income between April 2015 and April 2016. As long as her income before tax and after expenses is at least £18,600 between those dates, she will meet the requirement. If you use category F, DO NOT include anything from before April 2015.

- If you apply under Category G, they will look at the 2 full tax years from April 2014 to April 2016, where she must have earned an average of £18,600 across the 2 years. As she does not have 2 full tax years, since she didn't become self-employed until July 2014, she will probably not meet the requirement and therefore the visa will be refused again.

My step childrens biometrics is in Vermont on Thursday. When my husband did his last year he just took the application form, biometric confirmation and passport. Our immigration lawyer kept all the supporting documentation. Ive just got an email stating he needs to bring with him all our supporting documentation but its in UK with me we were going to send it over the weekend from the UK? I'm worrying now

Don't worry, your husband just needs to take the biometric confirmation and the passports for the children.  It's a generic email and it's incorrect for your circumstances.

Thanks what a relief my head is spinning he took off from Boston to Manchester to Boston 3 hours ago :(. Just a quick question while I was submitting kids application it said where would you like to pick up British Residency card from? My husband came in on a spousal settlement visa April 2014. We were not asked to pick up a card for him? It says you have 10 days from entering the UK or your visa is invalid? Is this correct?

Yes, this is new since your husband entered the UK.

Now you have to pick up your  BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) at the nominated Post Office within 10 days of your arrival. Your arrival must have been within the 30 days validity of the vignette in the passport.

It is much tighter timewise than it used to be.

Thanks Larrabee you are a wealth of knowledge.
So does my husband not need a BRC or does he now need to apply?
Also I need help with the postage label. I'm putting both boys applications in same package. Ive just spoke to the £1.37 a min UK Visa helpline  >:( and they were useless. They were not sure if my husband could fly back with the biometric receipt and passports and put them in when he gets back to the UK. They said he may have to send them separate from the States then they will match them up with my supporting documents???? Seems silly to me.
I am going to pay priority twice for both applications but do I need to pay for 2 x VSF return labels too? seems daft when they will be only using one. I feel a little annoyed I have to pay $228 to send a package back to Vermont.
Thanks x

You're welcome!

Your husband will receive a BRP on completion of his FLR(M) application at the 2.5 year mark. He's good with the passport vignette until then.
