Yeah that's what pisses me off the most.
Like I'm fine with purchasing it through only like 1 or two services to return it (not really, but its doable), but it needs to be made clear that these are the ONLY ones accepted for return. I was never contacted to say that they had issues with sending it back, which is awful, and there's contradictory information everywhere on what to do. Some say that Fedex is fine (its not), USPS is fine but you need a tracking number (its not), and DHL is fine (its not).
Exactly.
Until just a few weeks ago, all those options
were fine. If you had asked here before applying, I would have said the same thing - that you could use VFS, UPS, DHL, FedEx or USPS.
The only limitation I can think of was that FedEx couldn't be used to return documents from Sheffield, as UKVI had been experiencing issues with FedEx international return shipping labels and so stopped accepting them.
For New York applications though, I believe any shipping was fine, as long as you included the shipping labels.
This is why it's so helpful for all of us when people like you share their experiences on the forum - because we get to know when things change, even if they aren't officially announced.
