Updating visa application service

Hi everyone. I'm from the uk and have flown to America to apply for a spousal visa for my wife to join me in the uk.

We've registered on the website today ready to complete the form and to book the biometric appointment but the website is saying "we are currently updating our online visa application service" and then references another site for Visitor visas.

Does anyone know how long the site is likely to be down for as we want to try and get the application in so my wife can attend her biometric appointment if available next week?

Hi Chris, you didn't have to do that. Your wife is the one who will apply for the visa. You're her sponsor.

Once your wife has attended her biometric appointment, she only has 5 days to get her application to Sheffield so you need to have everything in perfect order before you apply.
