I'm cautiously optimistic, but I've been burned by polls too often in the past couple of years.

I've asked for the day off on the 9th, because I plan to stay glued to the results coverage.

I just noticed that the Guardian seems to be planning some kind of event on election night in London.  Too bad it's really far from my house but it could be fun. 

From what I hear, the east coast results will come in first.  If my home state of NC uses some common sense and Trump loses, then it's all over for him.  It may not be necessary to stay up all night.
