I live just outside of London. I sent my U.S. passport for renewal to the U.S. Embassy in London. My credit card company declined the passport transaction assuming it was fraud. I explained to them it was not, but only the vendor can re-process the passport payment.
My problem, there is no way to contact the U.S. Embassy in London by phone any longer, unless you know an extension number. The automated voice simply re-directs you to their website for passport information. It takes 5 weeks to get an in-person interview and I'm traveling by mid-December for the Christmas holidays.
Do any of you know an extension number or know any other means of contacting the U.S. Embassy in London directly so I can resolve this payment issue?
