All documents returned to me after visa processed

Hey guys,

So after settling my wife in and what not, we got round to filing away our paperwork and do you know what's really odd? The package they sent back to my wife with her visa has all of our supporting documents, copies and all!

I'm talking everything! They've kept nothing - not my certified copy of passport, payslips, confirmation letters. Every single document we submitted has been returned including all the copies?

I'm not bothered but I could've saved $100 in copy fees

Have they just scanned them all in?

Yeah, you never know what they're going to do! Sometimes they pick things out but it always seems a little random to me. Better safe than sorry though.
You should get a printer, I couldn't be without mine! 

What they choose to keep is very random.  I'm surprised they didn't keep the sponsor and employment letters though.  Not heard of those being returned ever!

the only thing I can think of is, as I didn't prepare the package, perhaps we had more than one copy of the vital documents and they kept them? Strange to send me the originals of those though  (cover letter and employer conformation letter).

Maybe new ECOs and that's why it was taking forever!

I have them anyway if it ever comes up but I'm sure chapter closed on this part of the process.
