US Passport for Children

Hi,

I am a US citizen with indefinite leave to remain in the UK, my husband in Belgian, and we are looking to apply for our children's US passports, who are 2 years old, and 2 months old.

We plan to submit the following to the US Embassy in London:

Form DS2029
Form DS11
Form SS5
Childrens UK Birth certificate
Marriage Certificate
My US passport
Husband's Belgian Passport
Children's Belgian Passport
Passport photos
Fees

The only thing I am having trouble gathering is proof of physical presence in the US for 5 years.  I was born in the US and lived there until 21.  At the moment, all I really have is my college transcript, which covers 4 years.  I don't have any records from high school or earlier, and my parents are terrible at keeping documentation, so not sure if they have any medical records for me, old passports, etc.  I also don't have any tax forms or bills in my name from the US, since I moved away right after graduating from college.

What else can I use to provide proof?  And, does anyone know how long it will take for my children to receive their passports, once our appointment is scheduled?

Is there any way you could contact the school district you attended and obtain your records? With your high school transcript (along with college as you mentioned) that would give you the requisite five years of proof.

Are you able to request transcripts from your high school?  I did.

I imagine they will be 100% happy with your college transcripts though.  It probably even says on them where you went to high school.

Why can't you submit your Social Security statement?
