Let's make some Root Beer for Charity
« on: December 08, 2016, 02:21:17 PM »

I had an idea in the shower: why don't we make a batch of root beer and sell it for charity?

Don't we have a brewer here?  Phatbeetle?   I'll buy the bottles and whatnot, then we can sell it t ourselves and donate the money to the Red Cross refugee appeal.

I'm a bit unclear on shipping it around and exactly how it will all work.  Any ideas?

I had a hard time giving it away for free at an international fair at university one year nevermind selling it! But I'd buy it :-)

Sorry, as much as I like rootbeer I hate anything that tastes like rootbeer candy (artificial rootbeer flavoyribg) and that's what most homemade rootbeer i've had tastes like.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

We have the best local root beer from a brewer here in Houston. I had my fiancee and and her mom (both UKC) try it independently. Both said it tasted like mouthwash. My joke about that explaining the stereotype about British people's teeth did not go over all that well.
