payment for fiance visa timeline/order
« on: February 22, 2017, 07:46:14 PM »
Hello everyone :)

For the fiancé visa when sending of the online application, paper work, using the VFS priority service etc... I just wanted to know what the order is and when to pay for each part.

Just trying to work out a timeline for payment and the correct order of the process...

Many thanks  :)
Jessica

It prompts you to pay as you go along.  So you pay IHS first, then the application at the end.

The VFS (options) are paid for at any time (priority and shipping).  VFS can be quite buggy, so best to do this a couple of days before you are ready to send your application (if using it).

yeah I got caught out with vfs not working so ended up paying double the price for UPS. So take kfdancer's advice and pay for it early if you can!

Correct!  I'm so used to people skipping the fiancé visa.

Make sure you have insurance for those first six months!!

I'm currently shopping for travel insurance. I am waiting on my new insurance policy to go into effect here in the US before I order my travel insurance. It looks it will cost around  $300 for 4 months coverage, for me anyway.
