List of evidence to be submitted
« on: February 25, 2017, 02:48:52 PM »
So we submitted the online application yesterday, paid the NHS fee, and got my biometrics appointment for Monday. We have the paper packet filled out and here is the evidence we are going to include:

This is for Category B(what we are filing with) but we also meet the cash savings requirement. I know they cannot be combined.

-12 months pay slips for my husband

- letter from his employer that they are genuine pay slips

- job offer with salary from his new employer and his official acceptance

- bills with both our names on them(childcare statements, car payments, cell phone bills, car insurance- we do not have a mortgage or rent, we live in a house owned by my mother)

- certified copy of our marriage certificate

-copy of his and our sons British passports

- copy of our son's birth certificate

- cover letter with timeline of job offer and acceptance/ leaving his job here. (He finished here yesterday-Friday feb 24, and leaves for U.K. On wed march 1 to start work the 6th.)

- we also included an explanation that we have a cash savings of £63000.

-letter from his parents saying we will be living with them, number of bedrooms and rooms with no mortgage owed on the property.

-photos from the start of or relationship in 2008 through our sons birth, trips to the U.K. And his family visiting us here up to our Disney vacation at Christmas.

- copy of my university transcript-English language requirement

-edit: passport photos of me,cover letter from husband, bank statements of every deposit made in the last 12 months.

We are asking his parents to send the letter about the mortgage being paid.

Any other suggestions would be helpful as we hope to send everything priority on Wednesday before he leaves!

- You haven't mentioned the mandatory 12 months of original bank statements showing the deposit of every payslip. If any of the bank statements are missing the visa can be refused

- you only need 1 photo, 2 at most, showing only you and your husband with no one else in the picture. It is only to show you have met at least once in person

- if you are a US citizen you are exempt from the English Language requirement and therefore do not need your university transcript

- if you are using your husband's income under category B, your savings will not and cannot be considered, so there's no point including the letter about them.

- he needs to include a sponsor letter stating how he meets each requirement for the visa - income, accommodation, relationship

- you also need evidence that his parents own their house: their Land Registry document/deed

- you don't need your son's UK passport or birth certificate

You need bank statements to go with the payslips that you are sending.
You need Appendix 2. Although you may be referring to this when you mention the paper packet?
A printed copy of the online application.
You need proof that your inlaws own the house so the title deeds or land registry document.
Your passport.
Passport photo.

You don't need your transcript. Your US passport covers the English language requirement.
Only send a few photos.
If you are not using savings, there is no point in mentioning them although it would have been easier to use savings in the first place.

We didn't use savings as we had some problems getting the documents from the bank and we were unsure about leaving/application dates and all documents needed to be used in 28 days. We do have the bank statements, I forgot to include that. And we do have a cover letter from my husband. I will edit to include those. We will ask about the proof of mortgage and get that. I also have passport photos.

If they don't have a mortgage then you don't need to ask about it. However you WILL need their Land Registry document/deed for the house, which you can download from the Land Registry website for a small fee.

We have the copy of the land registry now. We have reduced the number of pictures, taken out the transcript, copies of passports, and evidence of cash savings. We have also written a sponsor cover letter from my husband stating how he meets the requirements. Anything else we should do? We want to send everything off after my biometrics appointment tomorrow
