Hi everyone,
i have what I hope is a very simple question, when booking the biometrics appointment for a fiancee visa does it have to be at a centre within the state your applying from? or can it be over the border in another state if its easier to get to?

No, you can make the appointment at any centre you like - wherever is most convenient for you :).
