Sending Christmas Presents
« on: December 09, 2004, 03:31:14 PM »
Yeah, so i wanted to do this weeks ago.  I have a small package to get to the states before christmas.

what are my mailing options?  do i go to the post office and do it there?  it's gotta get there before christmas-they are my parents!  it's light, and not too big.  may fit in a padpack envelope.

help!

go to the post office TODAY if possible.  i think i read somewhere that the 10th is the last day for getting things to the US on time (which means I really need to get my xmas cards in the mail tomorrow--i've been carrying them around in my purse for a week!).

Ditto what Lola said.

I just got an email today from a friend of mine in England which said:

"...By the way, you're Christmas card is going to be late - the post room sent up a useful reminder of latest dates for posting cards yesterday, which indicated that the cards for America need to be in the post today - as I haven't got them yet it ain't gonna happen.  Ah well, the thought was there.  Actually it wasn't, but it is now,..."

Calm down.  If it's a small package and you're willing to pay, you'll probably still be able to get it out and to them in time for Christmas.

I was told by my school that the last day was Monday, 13th December, for getting things to the US on time...

You can always buy something online that ships from the US. My Christmas presents have already arrived at home--a bit early!! But at least not late. :)

Aimiloo:

Check out this site.  It offers 4 day delivery via DHL to the states for about £35.00.  I think the max weight you can ship is 5kgs.  I can not seem to figure how to cope the hyperlink here.  If it doesn't work try http://www.parcel2go.com
