Property in addition to income = 18,600+
« on: June 02, 2017, 11:56:37 AM »
My fiance meets the financial requirements when his salary is combined to the two properties he owns.

Does anyone have experience with this situation? He can provide a work contract and letter from employer that he makes 16,000+ a year, then if he shows the deeds to his property and what he makes from rent, which puts him over 19,000/year, will that be sufficient evidence?

Thanks!

He would also need to provide 6 full months of pay statements and the corresponding bank statements, and ideally his job contract and P60, for his employment.

For the rentals, this is what the guidance says but be aware that  he can only use rental income for a property that he does not live in.

Quote
(a) To evidence property rental income:

    (i) Confirmation that the person or the person and their partner jointly own the property for which the rental income is received, through:
        (1) A copy of the title deeds of the property or of the title register from the Land Registry (or overseas equivalent); or
        (2) A mortgage statement.
(ii) personal bank statements for or from the 12-month period prior to the date of application showing the income relied upon was paid into an account in the name of the person or of the person and their partner jointly.
(iii) A rental agreement or contract.

Yes, that is the case! Thank you so much.

A side note, tell him to turn OFF paperless bank statements altogether. You're 2.5 years off yet but you will also need his bank statements when you come to extend your visa
