i do know that when i wanted to order english crackers for my wedding, i had to go with an american company who assembeled them in the states as they could not be shipped over seas due to the snap in them.

Well, what I think that we've learned from this discussion is that clearly there's no uniform rule. It varies from air company to air company, and probably from agent to agent. So don't abandon hope yet.

Yeah, I think you'll be fine.

Its very easy to remove the snap from the cracker... and lets admit it, most times, they never snap anyway. so if you are at the airport and are told to ditch your crackers, you could always just do that.  I cant see how they can refuse to carry them without the snap.

I've seen crackers at Pier I Imports and TJ Maxx.  The ones at TJ Maxx were authentic English ones, by a company called Thomas Smith and they looked quite posh with good pressies inside...  However, I can't vouch for the jokes!

flying with Ryanair, they were asking about rackers again, but didn't ask us. So it's an irregular policy even with them.
