Dairy allergy
« on: December 03, 2004, 05:59:45 PM »
I was wondering if anyone here has a child with a dairy allergy?  My son is allergic and I'm trying to see if life in England will be pretty much the same or more difficult.  We'll be living in or near London, so we'll be close to a larger population.  I'm hoping that will mean I won't have difficulty finding soy milk and the like.

Also, I was wondering if anyone has any opinion of NHS and allergists?  Problems?  Fabulous experiences?

Thanks!
 :)

Soy milk is pretty widely available.  Might have problems finding it in some corner shops, but in a supermarket it's a piece of cake.  I've not had to visit an allergist here, but I've had no problems getting the same allergy medicine as I had in the US.
Insert wonderfully creative signature here …

We've just been to a private Allergy specialist with the fourteen year old this week.  The initial consult was £120, but the medicine is being prescribed through our GP.
