New financial requirement laws
« on: August 01, 2017, 05:56:14 PM »
Hey everyone I just receive this email from an immigration service that provides legal updates:

The Supreme Court ruled the Home Office needs to account for any unjustifiably harsh consequences for a family that is unable to meet the minimum income requirement for sponsoring a spouse.

The decision makers at the Home Office will now have to take 'specified circumstances' into consideration if a couple can not meet the £18,600 income requirement.

The new 'Specified Circumstances'
If the decision will have unjustifiably harsh consequences for the family refusing visa request could potentially breach the human rights of an applicant or family
The Home Office will now take into account these other forms of financial support

Legitimate prospect of employment or self-employment of either spouse or applicant
Sustained financial support from 3rd party
Any other reliable source of income or funds available to the couple
