Landlady letter FLR (M)

Hey

Just a quick question regarding accommodation, I am currently a permitted occupier in our flat and the tenancy agreement specifies that with my name as well.

We are about to ask our landlady for a letter confirming the tenancy agreement and that I (the wife) am a permitted occupier in this flat.

Just wondering if this letter should include any specific details other than our names/the date we moved in and so on?

If your name is on the tenancy agreement, you do not need a letter from the landlady at all.

The only reason for including a letter is if you are NOT on the tenancy agreement (usually because you don't have a visa to live in the UK yet and therefore cannot be on the tenancy) and you need to provide a letter of permission from the landlord that you can live there and you can be added to the tenancy once you have your visa.

Oh ok! I figured it would have been safer to get a letter since I am not a tenant but only a permitted occupier and it only states that on the 5th page of the tenancy agreement.
